JI Terrorists Get Only 15 years

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An Indonesian court on Monday sentenced the self-proclaimed leader of the Islamic militant group blamed for the 2002 Bali bombings to 15 years' jail on terrorism charges.

A panel of judges at the South Jakarta district court found Abu Dujana, whose June 2007 arrest dealt a severe blow to Jemaah Islamiyah (JI), guilty of violating the anti-terrorism law by assisting terrorists and possessing, storing and moving firearms and ammunition destined for terror acts.

The charges against the 37-year-old militant do not relate to any specific incident, although one of the men he protected, Malaysian national Noordin M.Top, is accused of masterminding the Bali attacks which killed 202 people.

"The defendant, Abu Dujana, has been proven legally and convincingly of having engaged in the crime of terrorism," Wachyono, who heads the panel of judges at the court, was quoted by AFP as saying.

On the news here it was reported that the JI was also fined IDR 10,000,000 (USD$1100) for being an illegal and banned organization. This is the first time that any judge or government agency has declared that the JI was illegal in Indonesia.
Worst part is Abu Dujana and Zarkasih will walk out early because they didn't get life sentences. Every Idul Fitri and Independence Day, prisoners in Indonesia get reductions in their sentences for good behavior. These terrorists knew that so they co-operated with authorities, received lighter sentences and with reductions will be out in probably 5 - 6 years, ready to lead terror attacks again. Abu Dujana sent weapons and explosives to Poso for Laskar Jihad and Al-Qaeda trainees to kill Christians during the Central Sulawesi religious battle several years ago.

(Jakarta Post) - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) on Sunday launched a book detailing its political platform and dismissing the idea it aimed at making Indonesia an Islamic state.

The Islamic party also rejects the idea of a secular state in the predominantly Muslim nation, it says in the 643-page book titled "Struggling for a Civil Society".

The book also says the PKS promotes a free market system, calling it the most reliable and efficient means to provide equality for all economic players, while also acknowledging it does not always guarantee the fulfillment of people's rights.

Muslim scholar Azyumardi Azra and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, who both spoke at the launch, praised the PKS for the book.

Azyumardi, also deputy secretary to Vice President Jusuf Kalla, said the PKS envisioned a moderate nation with its leaders, seeking to rule the country with Islamic values, not sharia law.

He said the book would explain the PKS's stance on relations between Islam and the state to the public, which mostly misunderstood the PKS as a hard-line party.

I smell taqiyya and burning pants!! A political party that has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and supports hardline terrorists like Abu Bakr Ba'asyir will not stop until Shariah is imposed. They will exercise Islamic values and a free market economy but after a while say that it isn't working and the only answer to prosperity for all is Shariah Law. It will start in West Java and North Sumatera and spread to the rest of Indonesia. Like I said, I smell Taqiyya and burning pants!!!

Islamotards Cry "Disband Ahmadiyah, Oust America!!"

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - About 1,000 Indonesian Muslims demonstrated outside the presidential palace here Sunday demanding Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono issue a decree disbanding a "deviant" Islamic group, an AFP reporter witnessed.

The fringe Ahmadiyah group, which has several thousand members in Indonesia, was declared "deviant" in January by the Indonesian Council of Ulemas (MUI), Indonesia's highest Islamic authority.

A government team last week also recommended Ahmadiyah be disbanded because of its teachings -- it believes Mohammed was not the final prophet, contradicting a central tenet of mainstream Islam.

"Disband Ahmadiyah, oust America" the protesters chanted without explaining the links between the two.

WTF? What has America got to do with a sect of Islam? Is this what Muslims learn in pesantrens and Friday prayers or are the Islamotards just lumping these enemies of Islam together and spewing venom at both? Yes, another demonstration of Islam, the religion of peace and tolerance. There is no compulsion in Islam. BULLSHIT!!!!!

Islamification of Indonesia Under Way

Two recent regional elections in Indonesia have resulted in the PKS, Prosperous Justice Party, winning in West Java and North Sumatra. Both areas are already strong Islamic value territories, so to have the PKS win these provinces is no surprise. More and more Indonesians are becoming fed up with the lack of prosecution of corrupt politicians and government officials and believe that maybe strong Islamic values or even Shariah is the only way to eradicate corruption from Indonesia. They see those from the old standard political parties like Golkar and the PDI-P as doing nothing to improve the standard of living for the Indonesian people and just lining their pockets with corruption money. Indonesians are looking to give fresh faces in newer political parties a chance to prove themselves.

The candidate from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and 10 other parties is leading early counts in North Sumatra's first-ever direct gubernatorial election, building party confidence about polls in other provinces and next year's general election.

A quick count on Wednesday by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) showed Syamsul Arifin, formerly the Langkat regent, and his running mate Gatot Pujo Nugroho leading with 27.67 percent of the vote.

Why do I say the Islamification of Indonesia is under way? The PKS are a strong advocate of Islamic values, stopping short of declaring their want of Shariah Law imposed. They are affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in Eygpt and are staunch supporters of Abu Bakr Ba'asyir, FPI (Islamic Defenders Front) and other hardline terrorist militia in Indonesia. Jemaah Islamiyah Leaders Pwned

Two of the most senior members of the terrorist organisation Jemaah Islamiah (JI) have been arrested in Malaysia and handed over to Indonesia.

They include Abu Husna, who many believe is JI's current leader.

Senior Jemaah Islamiah leaders Abu Dujana and Zarkasih are currently on trial in Jakarta.

Now JI has just been dealt another major blow with the arrest in Malaysia and deporting to Indonesia of Abu Husna and Agus Idrus.

Many believe Abu Husna took over as JI's number one when Zarkasih was arrested last year.

The International Crisis Group's JI expert Sidney Jones says the arrests are extremely significant.

"These people between them know almost everything there is to know about the current JI structure and the problems of regeneration," he said.

Agus Idrus is a medical doctor believed to have treated Indonesia's most wanted terrorist, Noordin Mohammad Top.

Abu Husna is likely to be charged with offences relating to violence in Poso in Central Sulawesi.

About damn time!! Both Agus and Abu Husna were .......wait for it..... former students of Abu Bakr Ba'asyir. No f%$#ing kidding!! Apparently Abu Hasna was also a teacher at Ba'asyir's pesantren of terrorism which still operates today. Abu Husna should get the death penalty especially because of his involvement in Poso. Agus should also get toasted as Tempo Interactive reports he is the JI leader in Poso , replacing Hasanuddin who is famous for the Poso Christian High School girl decapitations.
